There will be a Wordless Book Fair Ministry training session at Unity Baptist Church at 5:30 PM on Sunday, September 4th. Unity Baptist is located at 479 Highway 96, Bonaire, Georgia. The session is designed to train both people new to the ministry and provide refresher training for those who have done the ministry before. We will conduct practice telling of the Wordless Book method so the more who attend will aid in the breakout groupings. So, bring a friend or two.

We have a prayer group praying for this year's Georgia National Fair each Tuesday night at 5:45 PM. There is strength in numbers and the more people who pray will amplify the petitions. If you want to be a part of the prayer group, you can pray for the harvest at the fair and all of the needs required to support the ministry at the same time we are praying. God can put it all together!

Here is the actual testimony of a young man whose life was forever changed because of the Gospel Story he heard in a small tent at the Georgia National Fair in 2009. His life since his conversion that year is truly a clear example of the power of the Gospel. The Holy Spirit draws us to Christ, convicts us of our sins, and indwells us when we repent and receive Christ.

The Georgia National Fair (GNF) Mission Team's main planning focus for 2022 is ask, seek, and knock. In January, the team met to "Ask." The team prayerfully asked God for guidance and His blessing for the 2022 GNF with a goal of desiring to do His will in all we say and do. Seeking also His protection from the Enemy and His Grace as we go forward in the planning.

The GNF Mission Team met again in early March to "Seek." The team brainstormed ideas for how to recover from the complacency and apathy concerning evangelism stemming from the constraints imposed by the COVID pandemic. The team began a "deep dig" into the records for the past seven years and developed a list of past and potential missionaries. The team divided the list to initiate contact. The team also planned to do a set of very short video statements from GNF missionaries highlighting personal GNF experiences of strong evangelical impact.

The GNF missionary team will meet again in April to "Knock." Each team member will report on his/her contact with those on the past and potential missionary list. The planned video statements will also be recorded. Pray that the contact list will yield a great number of missionaries ready to Catch The Vision! 

Sometimes it is easy to get discouraged in your ministries, whatever they may be. We don't always see any fruit. What we sow is often watered by others and reaped by others still. Mostly, we will only know our impact for Christ when we get to heaven. So, it is a wonderful blessing when we get a glimpse of what our planted seeds have become. Recently, a young man contacted my church and told an amazing story. In 2009, he was on a school field trip to Perry, GA. The Georgia National Fair was being held at the time and he and some of his friends decided to go see it. This high school boy did not attend church and had no Christian friends. But God had an appointment for him! He went into the Wordless Book Tent and heard a short Gospel story. It changed his life forever! He accepted Christ as his Savior. A tent worker gave him a Bible and he read the Sermon on the Mount that night. This young man went on to attend the University of Georgia and attended a local church where he grew in his faith. In 2015, he became a missionary with the International Mission Board and serves in Japan where he is telling the lost in that country about Christ. The Fair Lady

Students from Huntington College in Indiana have been doing missionary work in central Georgia for several weeks this summer. They have been working to assist Spanish-speaking congregations in Vienna, Perry, Tifton, and Americus. They have helped with building projects, renovations, repairs, clinics, and soccer camps. Last Thursday in  Vienna, the students took a break from the church renovations to conduct a soccer camp for children. After the camp, the My Fair Lady presented the Gospel using the Wordless Book. Several children accepted Christ. Members of the church provided plenty of their wonderful empenadas to feed the group! Last Friday, a group of the students also helped with a soccer camp at Perry Baptist. ​

1. Gospel Storytellers are greatly needed. Come share the Good News using the Wordless Book Method of evangelizing. Witnessing is Biblical! Hear what scripture says:

Romans 10:17. Faith come by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Exodus 4:12. Go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say.
Acts 1:8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My Witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

2. Prayer is a vital on-going part of this important outreach. Please keep the Wordless Book Tent Ministry in your prayers. Pray as the Holy Spirit directs you. Especially that the Lord of the Harvest will bring laborers as the scripture says.

Luke 10:2. And He was saying to them, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
 
3. Donations. We are always in need of items which support our operations at the Georgia National Fair. Some of the things we use are tracts, bracelets, bags, Wordless Books, resource cards, transportation, and food. In addition, we have to pay for the fair space and electricity. We have a church budget which supports a good bit of the cost and wonderful sponsors who donate food and other items such as bracelets. But, we are always in need of help for many of the things we order. Pictured below are examples of items already ordered this year in preparation for the Georgia National Fair. The donor who previously supplied the wonderful plastic bags is no longer able to do so. Please contact me ([email protected]) should you feel led to be a sponsor for any of the ministry supplies.

John Lanier went to his eternal home in Heaven on June 1. For those who have known him and have worked ministries with him, you know what a soldier for Christ he was. He was a Bible scholar and a fine teacher of the Word. He reflected Christ in all that he did. Most importantly, he loved to tell the Gospel Story and was a faithful worker at the tent ministry at the Georgia National Fair and so many other ministries. Stricken with the mental prison that is Alzheimer's disease, the past few years have been difficult for him and those who loved him. Praise God he is now released from that affliction and is praising God in Heaven! Please pray for his wife Etta as she copes with life without her husband and lifelong soulmate. Below is the text she posted on Facebook telling of his last earthly moments.

"My sweet husband went home to be with the Lord this afternoon.  He had been under Hospice care since January and had taken a turn for the worse this past Friday.  I put some Christian music on and had a talk with him after lunch.  I told him  I loved him, but that he was very sick.  I told him that Jesus was waiting for him with open arms and that he would be made whole again with no more struggles.  I also told him that I would be ok here, and that I would be joining him again soon.  Then I told him he was free to go.  Within an hour, he opened his eyes for a few seconds and looked upward, then he slipped out into eternity.  I covet your prayers as I grieve this tremendous loss in my life.  Funeral arrangements at McCullough Funeral Home here in Warner Robins are pending."
