The Black Gold Jubilee in Belle Glade, Florida started out with driving from Boynton Beach at 5:30 in the morning. The trip out to the glades was one of passing mile after mile of sugar cane. I crossed over onto Torrey Island over a single lane bridge and arrived at the festival as the sun came up. The sky was dark and threatened rain. I set up the tent and put out extra support in case the winds picked up from an approaching storm. There were not many people setting up but a small group of young adults from Pahokee approached the lagoon looking for alligators. I beckoned to them, asking if they heard the story from the Wordless Book. They said no and wanted to hear it since they had set up their display. I presented the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to them and they prayed to receive Him. Later, as more came to help them at their venue, they sent them over to hear the Gospel. At the end of the day 18 young adults prayed to receive our Lord Jesus Christ by faith in His finished work on the cross.
I will be going to the Sugar Festival at Clewiston, Florida April 20th. Please pray for the work of the Gospel that God, the Father will draw those who He chooses; that those who hear will be convicted of sin, judgment and righteousness; thanking the Lord Jesus Christ for His finished work on the cross and His saving grace.
Your Brother in Christ,
Dennis Clark
